Jack Olihan Commits to Otterbein

Brewster, OH — Fairless Local Schools is proud to announce that senior Johnny “Jack” Olihan has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Otterbein University, where he will compete in wrestling for the Cardinals, an NCAA Division III program. Olihan plans to major in Business Administration and Management.

A standout competitor for the Fairless wrestling program, Olihan has established himself as one of the top wrestlers in the Principal Athletic Conference during his high school career. He is a three-time varsity letter winner, PAC Champion, and district qualifier. In addition to wrestling, Olihan also competed for the Fairless baseball program for three seasons and Track and Field during his senior year, demonstrating his versatility and commitment as a multi-sport athlete.

Head Wrestling Coach Wes Yoder praised Olihan’s dedication and leadership, stating,

“Jack has been a tremendous representative of our wrestling program and school community. His work ethic, toughness, and commitment to improving every day helped him become a conference champion and leader for our team.”

Coach Yoder continued,

“Otterbein is gaining a student-athlete who understands what it takes to compete at a high level both academically and athletically. Jack has earned this opportunity through years of hard work, and we are excited to see what he accomplishes at the next level.”

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Olihan has excelled academically throughout his high school career. He carries a 4.3 GPA and has earned recognition as an OHSAA Scholar Athlete, a three-time Academic Letter recipient, and the Fairless High School Most Outstanding Boy for the Class of 2026.

Olihan will also receive additional academic grants and scholarships from Otterbein University.
