Fairless Athletics Remembers Larry Wilson

The Fairless Athletic Department extends its heartfelt condolences to the Wilson family on the passing of Coach Larry Wilson at the age of 84.

Coach Wilson served as the Fairless boys basketball coach from 1970 to 1973, leading the Falcons to the 1972 Federal League Basketball Championship. He later became head coach at Perry, where he enjoyed a distinguished 18-year career before retiring.

Over the course of his career, Coach Wilson earned numerous honors, including 11 Federal League Coach of the Year awards, eight Stark County Coach of the Year honors, and seven District 4 Coach of the Year recognitions. During his time at Fairless, he compiled an impressive 44–19 record.

Coach Wilson’s impact on student-athletes and the game of basketball will be long remembered.
